Lisa is an experienced Yoga Instructor registered through National Yoga Alliance( E-RYT 200/RTY 500) and draws inspiration from an extensive background in movement and wellness. She has over 700 training hours with both the founder and senior teachers of Anusara Yoga and ISHTA Yoga (Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Auyerveda) plus teachers from other traditions. These methods inform Lisa's teaching style in which she helps students to understand and experience their innate ability to bring themselves into balance on every level.
She has served the local community through Potomac Yoga, Thrive Yoga, Inner Domain Yoga and in private practice since 2000. Lisa is currently completing certification in LaHo-Chi energy healing bodywork to enhance her clients experience of yoga and movement therapy.
Lisa received a BFA in dance at University of California and studied therapeutic massage in Santa Barbara before settling in the D.C. area for a professional career as a dancer and mother of four children. She discovered yoga in 1990 and began incorporating it into her therapeutic movement and dance classes. From 1996 to 1999 Lisa reached out to a larger community by directing the wellness component of a national at-risk youth program before deciding to focus exclusively on teaching the art of yoga.
