About Yoga
    Yoga literally means union. It is the joining together of all apparent opposites to a state of oneness. Developed in India over many centuries, it is not a religion, but rather a personal exploration of the relationship between ourselves and a Higher Conciousness.
    Over time Yoga philosophy  has evolved as the science of remembering our true Nature and as the art of creatively participating in all of Nature. It regards everything as sacred and all our experience as that of the Divine experiencing itself. This concept means we are all Spirit showing Itself in endless variation.
     The basic postures, breathwork, meditation and other practices were formed from close observation of  human beings relationship to all of creation, then customized to positively affect each individual's overall health day by day. This ancient science offers us natural methods for optimal living using self-awareness to improve the function of all our bodily systems, including our innate intuitive ability and energetic connection to All That Is - seen and unseen( you can choose its Name). By taking responsibility for our health and well-being through yoga, we can build a reservoir of resiliency in body, mind and spirit and traverse life's hills and valleys with grace.
